As the OnePlanetCapital team begins to shift focus onto the next investment tranche here is some insights into how the current investments are progressing as the 2022/2023 tax year gets underway. 

Zedify

Sector: Zero emissions deliveries


Zedify celebrated the opening of their new logistics hub in Bristol on the 6th April this year.
Marvin Rees the Mayor of Bristol saying;  
“Zero emission deliveries are a great way of removing polluting lorries and vans from our roads and city centre. We are looking forward to working with Zedify to help us create a healthier city.”
Guidehouse Insights recently reported that the cargo e-bike market is expected to hit global revenues of $370 billion by 2030.

Earthly

Sector: Nature based carbon offsets


Earthly have recently hired a Chief Marketing Officer, Shelby Torrence, who was the prior Global Head of Marketing at Deliverect and Mambu, helping both companies reach unicorn status. 


Earthly has also been gaining recognition in the carbon reduction industry, having been accepted into the IETA (International Emissions Trading Association), a leading voice in the voluntary carbon market, providing quality assurance, and guidance on emissions reductions and high-quality offsetting. Earthly have also been invited to join the TNFD (Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures). 


Earthly is breaking into the sporting world as they are now working with Formula-E team NIO333, the second Formula-E team using Earthly.


&Sisters

Sector: Environmentally friendly fem-care


The &Sisters team have been stepping up their digital marketing efforts to accelerate D2C and Amazon growth. The D2C sales channel grew by 38% in Q4 2021 and 78% in Q1 2022. 
B2B continues to be a key highlight for the performance of &Sisters with their national distribution channels continually growing. Q4 2021 saw staggering growth of 400% across the year which continued entering 2022 with a 30% increase on the previous quarter.

SwytchBike

Sector: E-bike conversion kits


Since our investment into Swytch there has been a significant media buzz around the business with their recent announcement that they are to launch the world's first pocket-sized eBike battery that is able to turn any bike into an electric bike.

 
Swytch’s new battery kit provides riders with 250W of power which is enough for users to complete a daily commute. The battery weighs a mere 700g and can be recharged within an hour making it a truly revolutionary and innovative product. 
The global e-bike market continues to grow at a staggering pace, and the global market is expected to be worth over $120 billion by 2030, according to a new report by Vision Research Reports. The market was valued at around $41 billion in 2020 and is anticipated to grow at a CAGR of 11.5% from 2021 to 2030.

Adaptavate

Sector: Carbon negative construction materials


Project ‘Pilot Line’ is proceeding on time and to budget with manufacturing premises to be contracted by the second week of June. The pilot plant will provide Adaptavate with the ability to scale up the production process of its flagship ‘Breathaboard’ product and “revolutionise the way construction materials are made without forcing any change on end users”, said founder Tom Robinson.

GoThrift

Sector: Second-hand clothes reselling market


The GoThrift team has recently received the keys to their new 31,000 sq ft warehouse. The space will allow them to expand quickly, with 5 more staff members being employed and the warehouse team being expected to double by the end of 2022. 
The new website is live and the average order/basket value is much higher than previous eBay sales which is promising for the long-term. 

GoThrift have a tie up with Love Island (a reality show TV show on ITV with over 3 million viewers) as the show takes a progressive step beyond fast fashion sponsorships and utilises second-hand clothing for contestants this year. 
GoThrift was also featured in an insightful Earth Day article by eBay USA.
